Said Soussi is a senior legal and compliance executive with over 23+ years of
international leadership across Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Currently building the legal and compliance function for a private equity-backed
global group. He spent nearly two decades at AT&T as AVP – Senior Legal Counsel
for EMEA, where he was in charge of the region’s legal, governance and compliance
framework for regulated telecom, network, and data infrastructure services —
including GDPR implementation across multiple EU jurisdictions and enterprise-wide
risk and data protection programs. He was part of the legal team on AT&T’s USD
600M+ acquisition of cybersecurity firm AlienVault and its subsequent divestitur
into LevelBlue, its private-equity-backed joint venture with WillJam Ventures, and
has advised on cybersecurity and AI legal strategy, privacy-by-design
implementation, and public-sector security engagements including NATO and the
European Commission.
He also served as Compliance Officer of the AT&T Pension Fund and Board Member
of AT&T Netherlands. Native in Arabic, English, and Dutch, with working
proficiency in French, German and Turkish. He holds an LL.M. in European &
International Business Law from Radboud University Nijmegen and KU Leuven.
