Sebastiaan ter Wee is a Partner at Deloitte Legal and leads the Digital Regulations and Contracting team. With over 15 years of experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, technology law, AI governance, and digital regulations, he advises multinational organizations, financial institutions, and government bodies on complex regulatory and compliance matters.
His expertise spans GDPR, NIS2, DORA, the EU AI Act, Digital Services Act (DSA), and cross-border data governance. Prior to joining Deloitte, Sebastiaan served as Head of Legal and Global Chief Privacy Officer at one of the world’s largest insurance and asset management companies, overseeing legal, privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory initiatives across Europe, Asia, and the United States.
Sebastiaan regularly advises C-suite executives on digital transformation, legal innovation, cyber resilience, and the intersection of law, technology, and business strategy.
