Tran Van Nam is an accomplished legal expert with 35 years of experience in business law, intellectual property law, e- commerce law, and dispute resolution. As an Associate Professor and the Dean of Faculty of Law at National Economics University (2014-2024), he has dedicated his career to teaching and research.
Tran Van Nam is a respected arbitrator at the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) since 2002, playing a vital role in resolving international trade and business disputes. He is also a CEDR Accredited Mediator (United Kingdom), holds a Train-the-trainer Certificate on Mediation Training from CEDR, then became a mediator at Vietnam Mediation Center (VMC) since 2019.
Beyond his professional practice, Tran Van Nam actively promotes mediation and arbitration as a speaker at various forums in Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific region. Nam was one of the co-organisers of the 8th Asia Pacific Mediation Forum (APMF) Conference took place in Da Nang, Vietnam from 11 to 13 November 2017. He has co-authored and edited textbooks on international trade law and intellectual property law.
Recently, Nam becomes member (MCIArb) of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and joints WIPO’s listed Neutral Arbitrators and Mediators. With extensive expertise, a commitment to legal education, and a significant impact on dispute resolution, Tran Van Nam stands as a distinguished figure in the legal community, both in Vietnam and internationally.
