Federal Circuit Denies Rehearing Request for $181M Verdict Against AT&T and Nokia

By Editorial Team

A Federal Circuit panel has rejected Finesse Wireless LLC’s request for a rehearing to reinstate a $181 million patent infringement verdict against AT&T and Nokia. The case involves wireless communication technology.

Finesse Wireless LLC had initially won the $181 million verdict over patent infringement related to wireless communication technology. However, the Federal Circuit panel’s decision not to reconsider the case means that the verdict remains axed.

The case was brought before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and stemmed from a dispute over patents 7,346,134 and 9,548,775, which relate to radio receiver technology and mitigation of transmitter passive and active intermodulation products.

Law firms involved in the case include Baker Botts, Clement & Murphy, MoloLamken, and Susman Godfrey. The companies at the center of the dispute are AT&T Inc. and Nokia Corp.
