Managing Partner | BVA Legal | India
Brijesh Verma is one of India’s most authoritative voices in indirect taxation and regulatory strategy — a Chartered Accountant and law graduate who has spent over two decades converting technical complexity into enforceable, commercially sound outcomes for the world’s most demanding clients. As Managing Partner of BVA Legal, he leads a pan-India practice spanning Agra, Delhi, Noida, Prayagraj, Mumbai, and Nagpur — advising Fortune 500 corporations, multinational institutions, and tier-one international law firms as off-counsel. His client roster includes Woori Bank, Omron, Dell, Alibaba, Bell Helicopters, APL Logistics, Exxon Mobil, Stanford University, UC Berkeley, and Oregon State University. His practice spans the full architecture of indirect taxation — GST, service tax, VAT, excise duty, and customs — across project structuring, cross-border tax planning,
regulatory compliance, due diligence, and high-stakes litigation before multiple High Courts and the Supreme Court of India, where he also regularly represents government bodies in complex tax disputes. On the cross-border advisory front, Brijesh has led a USD 20 million inbound investment mandate from China into India, structuring the transaction within India’s technology transfer regulatory framework — navigating foreign investment policy, tax treaty considerations, and sector-specific compliance to deliver a seamless entry
architecture. A Special Invitee Member of the GST and Indirect Taxes Committee of ICAI, Brijesh has held advisory roles with the Central Board of Excise & Customs and contributed to the Indirect Taxes Research Group of Central India. He has delivered over 1,100 keynote presentations at forums including FICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM, ICAI, ICSI,
ICWAI, and the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, and has authored contributions to ICAI’s definitive publications on indirect taxation.
