Patrick Rode is a German attorney and founder of the boutique law firm WINDORFER RODE in Düsseldorf. He advises on complex commercial litigation, cross-border disputes, and technology-driven regulatory matters, with a particular focus on the legal, ethical, and liability issues surrounding Artificial Intelligence.
Patrick previously worked at a number of international law firms, including Clifford Chance, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Latham & Watkins and later joined Deminor, a Chambers ranked litigation funder, where he was responsible for sourcing and reviewing high-value international disputes. He combines commercial, M&A, and technology law with deep expertise in AI governance, the EU AI Act, algorithmic transparency, and further related aspects such as AI-generated evidence.
Patrick additionally acts as a trusted advisor to professional athletes – particularly footballers – and supports them throughout transfers as a FIFA-licensed Football Agent. As founder of the European AI Academy, Patrick develops comprehensive AI-compliance and governance training for companies navigating rapidly evolving regulation.
