Dr Shamini K. Ragavan, SFHEA, is an Associate Professor of Law at the University of Birmingham Dubai and a dual-qualified practitioner (Malaysia/England) with 25+ years’ international experience across five jurisdictions. Her expertise spans corporate governance, legal education, and legal ethics. She has led programme design and accreditation (Foundation; LL.M. in International Commercial Law), pioneered mentoring and integrity-by-design assessment, and developed employer partnerships across the GCC. Dr Ragavan advises government bodies, regulators, and universities in the UK and UAE on policy and programme validation; delivers executive training in leadership and governance for oil & gas and corporate sectors; and serves as Senior Legal Advisor to the World Union of Wound Healing Societies. Her sector esteem includes External Examiner at City Law School, ADEK External Reviewer, and editorial board member of the Global Journal of Wound Care. Her scholarship focuses on legal education, evidence, and ethics, supported by wide collaboration with industry and academic partners.
