Sameet Gambhir, A seasoned corporate legal, compliance, and risk management professional with over 35 years of industry experience, Sameet Gambhir is currently serving as Sr. Vice President & Group Head of Legal at UFELX LIMITED. He has a distinguished career that includes leadership roles at prominent organizations such as DCM Shriram Ltd., KPMG India, Schneider Electric India, and Hill & Associates. Sameet is also an alumnus of the Leadership Effectiveness Programme from IIM-Bangalore, India.
His area of expertise spans across litigations, contracting, IPRs, corporate governance, compliance, ESG, risk management, data privacy, corporate restructuring, M&A, RBI & FEMA matters, SEBI regulations, corporate due-diligence, and corporate secretarial functions including board meetings, committee meetings, and shareholders’ meetings.
Sameet’s contributions to the legal field have earned him numerous accolades, including recognition as a Top In-house Counsel by Forbes India (2021-2023), inclusion in GC Powerlist India by The Legal500 (2022-2024), and being named Compliance Lawyer of the Year 2022 by LegalEra. He has also received the Global LexFelcon Award in 2022 for “Governance & Compliance” in Dubai.
He is an active volunteer, serving on various boards such as the PHDCCI Corporate Affairs Committee and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). Sameet is a regular speaker and panellist at prestigious forums and institutions such as IMT-Ghaziabad and NDIM-New Delhi. Outside of work, he is a keen golfer and a life member of the Qutab Golf Course, New Delhi.
