Bushra Asif is a distinguished Corporate Lawyer and educator with over 15 years of
extensive experience in legal practice and academia across national and international
platforms. Holding a Master’s in International Business Law from the University of London,
her career began at a leading law firm in Pakistan, followed by an in-house counsel
position at an international telecom company. Her profound expertise encompasses
drafting and negotiating a wide array of complex commercial agreements, notably M&A,
joint ventures, franchise, construction, IT, and IP contracts.
As Co-Founder of Ascend Legal Training & Consulting (www.ascendltc.com), a Europe-
based consultancy she operates with her French partner, Bushra advises diverse
international clientele on intricate commercial issues and data-related inquiries. They are
also instrumental in delivering tailored legal training to companies and lawyers worldwide.
Concurrently, she contributes to academic excellence as a Commercial Law Lecturer at
the French International University (Vatel) in Bahrain, instructing on specialized subjects
such as Intellectual Property, Economic Law and Contract Law. Her prior roles include
serving as a Law Associate at a reputable Bahraini law firm and as the Legal Trainer &
Marketing Director for the GCC region at the British Legal Centre (UK), where she
significantly expanded legal training services and delivered remote webinars to over 100
participants.
