Nvidia Faces More Allegations Of YouTube AI Scraping
By Editorial Team
The creators of YouTube channel h3h3 Productions and two golf content creators have brought a proposed class action against artificial intelligence and computer chip giant Nvidia, claiming it had improperly scraped their content to train the AI model Cosmos.
The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, alleges that Nvidia used the content without authorization, violating the creators’ intellectual property rights. The plaintiffs are represented by the law firm Ellzey Kherkher.
This is not the first time Nvidia has faced allegations of scraping content for AI training purposes. The company has been under scrutiny for its data collection practices and the use of third-party content without proper consent.
Nvidia, known for its graphics processing units (GPUs) and artificial intelligence technologies, has not yet publicly responded to the allegations.
Legal experts suggest that this case could have significant implications for the use of AI technologies and the boundaries of fair use when it comes to training AI models with third-party content.
As the case unfolds, it will be closely watched by industry experts and legal professionals interested in the intersection of technology, intellectual property, and data privacy.
