Dr. Thouraya Mathlouthi is an experienced technology and data privacy lawyer with over a decade of international experience across corporate, consultancy, and academic roles.
She served as Director Group Legal Counsel, Data Privacy and Protection at e& (formerly Etisalat Group) for 5 years, leading data protection, AI governance, and digital compliance initiatives across the EMEA region. Prior to that, she worked with the AXA Group, as well as in private practice and consultancy in Europe, advising Fortune 500 clients on privacy, technology, and IP matters.
A lawyer at the Paris Bar and Ph.D. graduate of Sorbonne University), Dr. Mathlouthi has also worked in academia as an assistant professor of law. She is recognized as a subject matter expert in global privacy with a focus on AI, IoT, Cloud, and Metaverse data challenges.
