Complaints Regarding Content Posted on the World Lawyers Forum Website
World Lawyers Forum values and respects the intellectual property rights of others and is committed to providing a platform that does not host content infringing on those rights. Our User Agreement requires that all content posted by members be accurate, lawful, and not violate any third-party rights. To uphold these standards, World Lawyers Forum has a process for submitting complaints related to content posted by our members. The policy and procedures are detailed below.

World Lawyers Forum may, at its discretion, forward the written notice (including the complainant’s contact information) to the member who posted the content and/or take reasonable steps to notify the member of the alleged violation. Additionally, in appropriate circumstances, we reserve the right to disable or terminate the accounts of members or groups who repeatedly infringe on intellectual property rights or post unlawful content.

Important Notice: Submitting a false notice or counter-notice can lead to legal consequences. We recommend seeking legal counsel before submitting any notice or counter-notice to ensure accuracy and avoid liability for false claims.


Claims Regarding Copyright Infringement

Notice of Copyright Infringement
In compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, World Lawyers Forum has established the following process for handling notifications of copyright infringement. If you, in good faith, believe your copyright-protected work has been infringed, submit a written notice including:

  1. An electronic or physical signature of the copyright owner or an authorized representative.
  2. A detailed description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  3. Identification of the location of the infringing material on our website.
  4. Your contact information, including a phone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the content in question is unauthorized by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law.
  6. A declaration, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Counter-Notice Regarding Copyright Claims

If you believe a copyright infringement notice has been wrongly submitted against you, you may file a Counter-Notice under Sections 512(g)(2) and (3) of the DMCA. Your counter-notice should include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled and its original location before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, affirming your good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or incorrect identification.
  4. Your name, contact details, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district where your address is located (or the Northern District of California if you are outside the United States). Also, confirm that you will accept service of process from the complainant or their authorized agent.
