Texas Judge Upholds VidStream’s $105M Trial Victory Against X Corporation

A Texas federal judge has affirmed VidStream LLC’s $105 million trial win in an infringement case against X Corp. The judge also awarded an additional $67 million in interest to VidStream. The ruling, issued by Judge David C. Godbey of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, denied several requests for further damages and relief.
According to court documents, the case involved patents 8,464,304 and 8,601,506 related to a content creation and distribution system. The legal battle saw representation from law firms Caldwell Cassady, Haynes Boone, and WilmerHale on behalf of the parties involved, including Twitter Inc. and X Corp.
This decision marks a significant victory for VidStream in its intellectual property rights enforcement efforts. The ruling solidifies the company’s position and underscores the importance of protecting intellectual property in the technology and media sectors.
