Teksupport Co-Founders Locked in Legal Battle Over New York Dance Biz

By Editorial Team

The co-founders of Teksupport, Rob Toma, and Mike Vitacco, are embroiled in a legal dispute over the future of their New York dance events company. The duo, who founded TCE Presents, which owns the Brooklyn Storehouse venue and operates dance events under the Teksupport brand, have taken their disagreements to court.

Toma, known for his talent booking skills, accused Vitacco of orchestrating a scheme to push him out of TCE. In response, Vitacco alleged that Toma was planning to harm the business and divert opportunities to competitors for personal gain.

The legal battle escalated with both parties filing lawsuits against each other in a New Jersey court. Toma claimed Vitacco transferred ownership interests to his mother without his knowledge, while Vitacco accused Toma of planning to join a competitor and spreading damaging information about their business.

Judge Thomas D. McCloskey issued a temporary restraining order against Toma, preventing him from interfering with TCE’s operations. The judge also ordered both co-founders to attempt mediation to resolve their differences.

If a settlement is not reached, the case will proceed to trial. Both Toma and Vitacco are seeking sole ownership of the company and financial damages from each other for various allegations, including breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract.

Vitacco’s attorney expressed satisfaction with the court’s decision and emphasized the importance of collaboration to protect their client’s interests. Toma’s representative declined to comment on the ongoing dispute.
