Munchkin Inc. has filed a motion in an Illinois federal court to increase the damages awarded to them from $3.9 million to nearly $8.2 million. This request comes after a recent jury verdict found TOMY International liable for infringing on Munchkin’s patents related to a spill-proof cup.
The jury initially awarded Munchkin $3.9 million in damages for the patent infringement by TOMY International. However, Munchkin is now seeking to have the damages doubled to $8.2 million through the court’s approval.
