Intellectual Property Office Updates Senior Management Structure Through 2026

The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) has published its latest organizational structure chart, highlighting a series of leadership changes and interim appointments spanning from January 2023 through October 2026.

On 6 October 2026, Charlotte Champion was appointed as Interim Division Director and Service Owner of the Manage Service, marking the most recent update to the IPO’s senior management roster.

Prior to this, on 23 June 2026, Simon Haikney was recorded as Divisional Director and Service Owner of Manage Services and Transformation. Concurrently, Natasha Chick’s role as Director of Enforcement, Business and International Policy was updated.

Natasha Chick’s appointment as Director of Business and International Policy was first noted on 20 June 2025, following an interim period where Lorna Dukes served as Interim Director of Business and International Policy starting 5 December 2024.

The IPO structure chart was also updated on 5 April 2024 to reflect changes involving Simon Haikney, Julyan Elbro, Oliver Morris, and James Porter, indicating ongoing adjustments within the leadership team.

Earlier, on 2 February 2024, Steph Dales was added as Interim Director of Strategy, further expanding the IPO’s strategic leadership capacity.

In August 2023, Ben Jones-Llewellyn joined the IPO as Director of Business & International Policy, with his appointment recorded on 14 August 2023.

The IPO also appointed Oliver Morris as Interim Divisional Director of Trade Marks and Designs on 23 January 2023, filling a critical role overseeing trademark and design operations.

These updates collectively demonstrate the IPO’s dynamic approach to managing its senior leadership, ensuring continuity and strategic oversight across its core functions including business policy, enforcement, service management, and intellectual property rights administration.
