Gong Appoints Tech Industry Veteran Joe FitzGerald as Chief Legal Officer

Gong, a leading Revenue AI company, has announced the appointment of Joe FitzGerald as Chief Legal Officer. In his new role, FitzGerald will be responsible for overseeing global legal affairs, including corporate governance, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance as Gong expands its AI-native platform for enterprises worldwide.
With over 25 years of experience in compliance, corporate development, and navigating complex market transitions, FitzGerald brings a wealth of expertise to Gong. He most recently served as the Chief Legal Officer at Lacework, where he played a key role in the company’s rapid global expansion, securing the security industry’s largest venture capital raise, and overseeing its acquisition by Fortinet. Prior to that, FitzGerald spent eight years at Pure Storage, where he helped scale the legal function from a startup through its IPO to a multibillion-dollar public enterprise.
